A total of 170 young man and women between 18 and 30 years of age received training and performed internships within entities of different sectors thanks to this program
Santiago de Compostela, November 10th 2023. The general director of Xuventude, Participación e Voluntariado, Cristina Pichel, participated this afternoon in the first edition of Xuventude mentoring na Empresa, aswell as some of the representatives of some of the adhered companies. During her intervention she highlighted the value of this iniciative of the Galician goverment, which has showcased its worth when it comes to propelling employment for the youth.
In this meeting celebrated in Santiago de Compostela, 17 young man and women participated, who were adhered to the Bioga project, who performed internships in eight different companies. In all of Galicia, 170 young man and women between the ages of 18 and 30, benefitted of the first edition of the Xuventude Mentoring na Empresa program. Some of the adhered entities also participated in this meeting, such as Mestrelab, ANFACO-CECOPESCA, Grupo Zendal or Bioga. During their interventions, they made the benefits this program provides for the youth and the participating companies who want to get to meet the youth known.
The general director reminded everyone this program is yet another step in the training and assessing of the youth in order to facilitate their transition into the labor market. During this first year, these youngsters could receive training and engage in internships within the assigned companies. The Xunta also propelled, in 2021, the Xuventude Mentoring program, which allowed them to accompany 500 young individuals in their first steps towards becoming professionals.
